Welcome to enlightenment.
Why is it we eat so much and yet, we are so undernourished?
The answer to that is we eat unconsciously what the supermarkets throw at us. All the junk food, processed food, Es, Es, and more Es and additives! How about all the junk food, convenient fast foods, takeaways, eating our way through thousands of calories, we are becoming obese, and still, we are undernourished!
We then wonder why we feel so unhealthy; we wonder why we become ill.
The expression “You are what you eat” is a fact, not just a statement.
When you eat as written in the above, no matter how hard you wish upon a star to be healthy and well, it’s not going to happen! When our diet is unhealthy we become sick, when our diet is healthy, we become well!
I write to you the reader, to become consciously aware of taking the right steps to a healthy life, think about what you are putting into your mouths, is it healthy, or is it not?
Not only are most of the foods in the supermarkets and takeaway industries unhealthy, they are actually killing you!
We seemed to be dumbed down as a nation, with all the enticing ads on TV; everywhere you look, luring you into the trap of eating yourself into ill health.
What you should know is this, the more we eat that rubbish, the more hungry we become, the reason being, we just get full on calories, and still, our bodies are craving nutrients. That’s right; we are actually starving for nourishment, so we end up trapped in the never ending cycle.
We can brake that cycle by becoming consciously aware of making the right decision to change the way we think about food and the effect it has on us.
Firstly what I’m about to say I’m sure you already know, all fresh fruit and vegetables are good for you! But, and a BIG BUT! Fresh fruit and vegetables these days are loaded with pesticides and chemicals; the soil they are grown in lacks vital minerals. Unfortunately we have to pay the price of finding and eating organic fruit and veg. It’s good to research and find the best source around you for organic produce, the more we do this, the more we shall see of it! Also search for the best vitamins and mineral supplements.
The human body needs essential oils such as omega 3 (fish oil), and omega 6 vegetable oil. These are essential oils because our bodies alone can not make them, if you are not eating the right fish, you are not getting any omega 3.We are eating far too much vegetable oil and corn oil that is harmful to us. We should have a balance of 1 to 1 omega 3 and omega 6 to be healthy, but today unfortunately the ratio is more like 1 to 20, such an imbalance! By the time you cook fish, most of the omega 3 has gone, so it is vital to take omega 3. Our brains are about 70% fat and need omega 3 for optimum health function. Most omega 3 capsules you buy start to oxidise as soon as you open them, they have a very short life span, if they smell at all fishy, throw them away, that means they are off and actually poisonous.
Do your research and find the best omega 3 that does not oxidize. The right fats are accentual for optimal health.
Olive oil is omega 9 and is not an essential oil but a great alternative to vegetable oil such as sun flower oil and corn oil.
Eat moderate portions of meat, (less red), fish and dairy products.
Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water a day; our bodies are more than 75% water and need constant hydration. Water is great for our skin and hair, it helps weight loss, concentration and so much more, the more you drink water the more radiant you will become!
It takes a little research and a little action, do not believe me, try eating healthy and see how you feel! WELL, that’s all I shall say for now, pardon the pun!
